Porgy & Bess
This bittersweet love story was first performed on Broadway back in 1935 and has since been reproduced across the globe. London now plays host to this American musical masterpiece and presents this fantastic £3million production!
This fresh interpretation by Trevor Nunn has been reworked and re-orchestrated to premier at the Savoy Theatre. Including classics such as 'Summertime' and 'I got Plenty o' Nothin'. This is one show that is not to be missed.
Porgy & Bess is set in S.Carolina during the Great Depression and follows the story of Porgy (a crippled black man) and his attempts to rescue Bess (a prostitute) from the claws of her pimp and drug dealer. It is more moving and heart-felt than any other.
