The Entertainer
The original 'angry young man' John Osborne was one of the 20th Century's most celebrated playwritghts. This enigmatic play symbolises the decline of post-war Britain by following 3 generations of a family of entertainers.
Archie Rice is a music-hall performer desperate to equal his father's success. A deceitful, wife-cheating has-been who is shameless in his malicious actions. He attempts to trick his dying father into financing his show despite his ever-dimishing audience.
