This is the story of a lawyer (Arthur Kipps) who is convinced that he and his family have been cursed. Years earlier this young and ambitious lawyer was hired to sort out the affairs of the recently deceased Mrs Alice Drablow. He has to delve deep and whilst exploring her solitary life he becomes sure that doom has been cast on him.
Arthur enlists the help of a sceptical young actor to help him exorcise the spirit and tell his story, but as the borders of make believe and reality begin to blur the tragic secrets that are lingering start to emerge.
