Whipping it Up
It is late December in 2008 and the Tories are back in power, but with only a week before Christmas the Tory government is in a state of chaos. Holding on to a mere majority of 3 the Whip's office is out in full force and they'll stop at nothing to keep the strays in line!
Steve Thompson's hilariously funny new play reveals the true secrets locked in the Whip's safe, blowing the lid off the Dispatches box! Though it's going to be a tiresome night when a seemingly straightforward piece of legislation unpredictably takes on gross political significance; resulting in the boy scouts rioting in Whitehall, the PM being busy golfing with the President in Washington and 5 Tory rebels on the loose!
Terry John's production brings back the hugely successful original cast including Richard Wilson, Rober Bathurst and Lee Ross with new addition Kellie Bright as Maggie.
